SpaceX has launched a Falcon 9 rocket with the latest batch of the group’s six Starlink satellites. SpaceX said the launch was planned for 10:35 p.m., but backup opportunities continued until 2:31 a.m. Thursday.
While SpaceX typically launches in the first part of that window, weather on the Space Coast, as well as the booster’s landing location, play a role in the timing. However, according to the Space Force’s 45th Weather Squadron, conditions for the launch window were 95 percent favorable. Thus, the rocket witnessed a timely liftoff at 10:35 PM EST.
People near or south of the Cape had a good view of this night launch, as the rocket was moving on a southeast trajectory.

On Thursday, SpaceX plans to launch another batch of Starlink satellites. This launch window runs from 6:45pm until 11:16pm on Thursday. SpaceX has not yet confirmed this mission, but the Federal Aviation Administration lists the mission as Starlink 6-63.

Updated at 10:35 p.m.: SpaceX just launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 Starlink satellites from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Updated at 10:30 p.m.: SpaceX launch webcast hosted on X (formerly Twitter) has begun.
Liftoff is scheduled for five minutes from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Update 10:25 p.m.: T-10 minutes! Head outside if you plan on catching this launch! If your skies are clear, it will be hard to miss the bright rocket rising into the sky.

Updated at 10:10 p.m.: Tonight, the booster will land Lack of gravity Drone in the Atlantic Ocean. No local sonic booms will be heard – just the rumble of the missile for those near the Cape.

Update 10:02 PM: SpaceX has confirmed that fueling of the Falcon 9 rocket has begun.
This means that tonight’s Starlink mission is now locked in for liftoff at 10:35pm without any delay in the countdown, otherwise the launch must be postponed.
If there is a delay for any reason, the next launch opportunity will begin tomorrow evening at 10:06 PM EST.

Update 9:55 p.m.: While we wait for the announcement that SpaceX has begun refueling, here’s a behind-the-scenes summary of SpaceX’s countdown timeline. T minus:
- 38 minutes: SpaceX’s launch director checks the “launch” of propellant loading.
- 35 minutes: The loading of rocket kerosene and the first stage of liquid oxygen begins.
- 16 minutes: The second stage of liquid oxygen loading begins.
- 7 minutes: The Falcon 9 begins engine cooling before launch.
- 1 minute: The flight command computer begins final pre-launch checks; The fuel tank pressure starts until it reaches cruising pressure.
- 45 seconds: SpaceX’s launch director checks the “go” for the launch.
- 3 seconds: The engine control module controls the start of the engine ignition sequence.
- 0 seconds: Leaves.
Update 9:45 p.m.: Brevard EOC announced that launch preparations are underway.
SpaceX Starship Update
Update 9:40 p.m.: Meanwhile, in Boca Chica, Texas, SpaceX announced it had completed launch training for its fourth flight of the spacecraft. While an official launch date has yet to be announced, Elon Musk stated on X that Starship could launch within two weeks.
The team’s goal for this test flight is to pass the reentry process.
In other Starship news, local meetings will be held June 12-13 in Brevard for FAA officials to gather feedback from local residents about the proposed Starship location at KSC Pad 39A.
A virtual meeting will be held on the 17thy For those who cannot do this in person.
Updated at 9:30 p.m.: The supporter flies tonight for the eighth time. Its previous missions include three other Starlink missions, ESA Euclid and CRS-30, and two crewed missions from Axiom Space: Ax-2 and Ax-3.

SpaceX’s first consecutive Falcon 9 rocket launch
Update 9:10 p.m.:. The SpaceX team was active. Earlier today, SpaceX launched the National Reconnaissance Office mission NROL-146 from California.
Now, SpaceX is targeting 10:35 PM EST to launch the next batch of Starlink satellites from SLC-40. This will be the Starlink 6-62 mission.
Tomorrow evening, SpaceX will launch another Starlink rocket, Starlink 6-63, from the Space Coast. This launch window is open from 6:45 PM to 11:16 PM
