The previously announced match appears to have been cut from tonight’s (May 29) episode of AEW Dynamite.
It was previously announced that tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite will feature Saraya’s first singles match of 2024.
Last singles match in December 2023, Saraya was announced to face Mariah May on Dynamite tonight.
But after the main event match (the sudden death match for the AEW title at Forbidden Door) started, fans started wondering what happened to Saraya vs. May because it didn’t happen.
There was no explanation on television as to why the match would not take place tonight, but later in the show, it was announced that it would take place next week instead.
And for what it’s worth, Saraya “liked” the tweet that read:
“Is @MariahMayx vs. @Saraya really cut???? 🤦♂️ wtf man”
We will keep you posted with any further updates on why tonight’s game will not go ahead as planned.
There was a TBS title match between Mercedes Mone and Skye Blue tonight, but it wasn’t announced in advance, but rather after Blue attacked Mone in the opening segment.
Elsewhere on AEW Dynamite tonight, it was revealed what will happen to the TNT Championship after Adam Copeland is injured and retains the title at Double or Nothing 2024.
