Chasidy Gardner, 22, of Lakeland, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon stemming from Friday’s incident, according to a statement posted on Facebook by the Lakeland Police Department.
Lakeland police officers responded to a shooting around 1 a.m. at a fast food restaurant in the 700 block of East Memorial Boulevard. Upon arrival, they discovered the shooting stemmed from an argument between Gardner and a customer who complained about an order placed at the drive-thru window.
The fight was captured on a security camera at the facility. The police shared the video on social media.
During the dispute, the suspect threw a drink at the customers as they tried to leave. At one point, a customer came through the window and knocked some items to the floor.
“Two of the customers got out of their vehicle, opened the window and threw drinks at Gardner, who then armed himself with a gun,” a police report said.
