Camila Cabello has admitted she slid into Drake’s DMs in order to get him to appear on her upcoming album C, XOXO.
C,XOXO is inspired by Miami, where Camila partly grew up and where Drake also used to keep an apartment, before selling it for $2.3 million in 2018.
Drake and Camila were spotted surfing together off the Turks and Caicos Islands last December, sparking a firestorm of dating rumours.
Now, however, Camila, 27, has confirmed that she was in fact working on one of the two tracks he contributed to her album.
She said she considers Drake a “fucking goat,” so it felt like the stars were sending him messages to work together. painting In a new cover interview.

“I showed him the album when I felt comfortable enough and he really liked it,” Camila said, adding that his recording work “came from a non-transactional place.”
She glowingly recalled that Drake “had an idea for a song called Hot Uptown, and I felt like I was in the city.” “I was in Miami.”
Following this cute duet, Drake can also be heard on a two-minute song called Uuugly, which features him as the lead vocalist with Camila as backup.
Why does he have his own song? Because selfishly, I just want to hear Drake on my own album. “I love that for me, it’s such a rebellious mood,” Camila said.
The Havana-born pop artist, who rose to fame as part of girl group Fifth Harmony, added: “Who says I can’t do it?” It’s Drake talking about ***.
Camila walked through a variety of eye-catching ensembles as she snapped photo after photo for her latest magazine shoot.
One of the singer’s looks was a saucy strapless Mugler cocktail dress that appeared to be made entirely of plastic straws.
Another outfit included a splatter-print tank top, teamed with a set of ripped tights and heels with feather accents.
In one of her other looks, Camila wrapped a red faux fur jacket over a set of lingerie, and appeared out of a car window as she passed through Miami.
C, XOXO is Camila’s fourth studio album as a solo artist and includes the already released singles featuring Playboy Carti and He Knows featuring Lil Nas X.
The new album – Camila’s first since leaving Epic Records and signing with Interscope Records – is scheduled to be released on June 28.
“A lot of the inspiration for this album was driving, listening to music, opening the windows and hearing what people in the city are listening to,” she revealed.
C, XOCO includes her collaboration with Miami hip-hop duo City Girls, with whom she recorded a song called Dade County Dreaming.
