A Venezuelan man has been charged with beheading a woman in Colombia

Police found the body tied with ribbons and decapitated. Information is collected to solve a crime.

Liliana Rosa Bertus Castro, 27, was allegedly tortured and beheaded during a domestic dispute.

At 1:40 a.m. on June 14, the events occurred near the neighborhood of 7 de Agosto, located in the municipality of Santo Tomas (Atlantico).

There, officers arrived after receiving an emergency call and learned that Liliana Rosa was involved in a confrontation with a man known as “El Chamo.”

Police investigating the spot found the woman’s body tied with ribbons and her head cut off. Immediately, they seized “El Chamo” to take him to the prosecutor’s office and establish liability.

According to Blue Radio, some people called the woman three days ago to come to the house (the scene of the crime) and since then, the family has not heard from her. In this way, Bertus is believed to have been abducted and killed while trying to escape.

“We are establishing the truth, but, obviously, the first versions indicate that everything will happen because of micro-trafficking problems to settle scores,” said Colonel John Urea, commander of the Atlantico Police Department.

The case is currently being investigated and information is being collected to clarify the reasons behind the crime.

Heraldo de Barranquilla newspaper reported that 24-year-old “El Samo” is of Venezuelan nationality.

Sources related to the victim are not clear if there was a romantic relationship between them, but they strongly believe that the man liked her.

“I always noticed that he spent his time at her house. He had a strange look, like he was on drugs,” the informant explained.
